Gopalakrishnan VC serves as Director for the Automotive and Electric Vehicles sector with the Government of Telangana. In this capacity, he leads the state’s strategic efforts to attract and land investments across the automotive value chain—spanning electric mobility, advanced manufacturing, and green transport technologies. A key member of the Telangana Mobility Valley initiative, he plays a pivotal role in investor relations, policy advocacy, and stakeholder coordination to shape an ecosystem that promotes innovation, sustainability, and ease of doing business. He actively engages with industry leaders, startups, and global OEMs to foster Telangana’s emergence as a premier destination for mobility investments. Recognized among India’s Top 40 Under 40 dynamic EV leaders, he brings rich cross-sectoral experience in energy, automotive, and consumer durables. Prior to joining government service, he worked with a Japanese automotive major, where he managed business development and customer programs. He also has experience in power sector operations from his early professional years. He holds a B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from NIT Calicut and completed his Post Graduate Programme in Management from ISB Hyderabad, with dual majors in Operations and Marketing.
